About Swedish Query System

On screens, where information is made available in English, it's possible to choose between "Svenska/English" with drop-down under ("Språk"). On screens, where flags are displayed, click on the British flag for English version and back to Swedish version by clicking on the Swedish flag.

How to classify commodity
To get detailed information concerning duty, tax and other conditions on export or import, you need a CN or Taric Code (Commodity code).

A way to find correct commodity codes is found under the menu "Varukoder klassificering".

The Nomenclature with 4-digits HS Headings, 6-digits HS Subheadings, 8-digits CN Subheadings and 10-digits Taric Codes are available in English. You will find your CN/Taric Code by looking first into Sections ("Avdelningar") and then Chapters ("Kapitel").

In the main menu  "Huvudmeny - Informationsmaterial" you can also find Explanatory Notes to CN in English.

Commodity code conditions for import or export
Use the menu "Import Export", press on the British flag and after that insert the appropriate commodity code and the country of origin/destination in the boxes and indicate "Search". The information on duty, tax, fee and import conditions and export measures are then presented in English.

However, it should be noted that the General Interpretative Rules and the Section, Chapter, Subheading Notes and Additional Notes which form an integral part of the Nomenclature are available in Swedish only.

Please note that although Taric and the national nomenclatures are not legally binding, their codes must be used in customs declarations and for statistical purpose (see Article 5 in Regulation (EEG) No 2658/87).
